Spruce/Triviz/Telshor Intersection Improvements

Dear Residents, Businesses and Community Members,

The City of Las Cruces and A Mountain Construction are pleased to announce the upcoming construction of improvements designed to modernize and enhance roadway infrastructure throughout the project area.

Construction is anticipated to begin Monday, September 21, 2026, and is expected to continue through summer 2027. Work will be completed in phases to help minimize impacts to residents’ businesses, pedestrians and motorists while allowing each portion of the project to be completed safely and efficiently.

The improvements will include:

• Upgraded street lighting to improve visibility and safety.

• Traffic signal upgrades incorporating modern technology

• New and upgraded ADA -compliant ramps to improve accessibility for pedestrians

• Concrete improvements, including, new and curbs and related pedestrian infrastructure.

• New Technology at each intersection/corner to improve traffic operation, safety, and efficiency.

• Advanced turn sections designed to improve traffic flow and intersection functionality.

• Pavement improvements to provide safer, smoother, and more durable roadways.

 

The City of Las Cruces and A Mountain are making effort to provide a smooth transition throughout construction. Because the work will be preformed in phases, temporary lane restrictions, closures, construction traffic, noise and changes to pedestrian or vehicle access may occur at various stages of the project.

For your safety and to help minimize delays, we encourage motorists and pedestrians to avoid the active construction areas whenever possible and to follow all posted signs, traffic control devices, detours, and directions from construction personnel.

We understand that construction can create temporary inconvenience and greatly appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation. These improvements are being made to provide safer, more accessible, technologically advanced, and better preforming streets and intersections for Las Cruces community.

Additional information regarding specific construction phases, traffic control, closures, and anticipated impacts will be communicated as the project progresses.
